Our next event, on March 27th at Triple Crossing (in Fulton Bottom) we want to focus on consumption. "Consumed" is a broad theme that could be interpreted in many ways. Here's what we are looking for...
Stories of addiction, over-consumption, obsession, not being able to quit, being consumed in love, drugs, sex, work, money (with hopefully conclusions of getting help or getting over said addictions.) We are looking for stories of being completely consumed by something so that you lost yourself, or any other interpretation that you have of the word Consumed.
We have visited this topic before in a special event held outside of Richmond but wanted to open it up to our broader audience.
If you or someone you know has a story specific to this theme please submit a Title of Story, Synopsis of Story and Short Bio to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Stories @ 7:30

Gina Sobel is a genre chameleon. She’s a devoted multi-instrumentalist – virtuosic on flute and voice and just as expressive on sax and guitar, filled with energy and improvisational spirit. Gina’s composition takes two main directions. She writes songs with piercing lyrics and soaring vocal melodies, as well as jazz tunes that bring in elements of funk, modal jams and found sounds. She pulls these two sides together with her rock band Gina Sobel and the Mighty Fine. Gina also leads a jazz quartet (the Sobel 4tet) and plays as a solo artist and in a number of other groups.
We're releasing our collab DIPA, Fulton Rising, with Stone Brewing Richmond next Friday. This DIPA showcases Columbus, Mosaic and Falconer's Flight hops as well as a predominately German Pils malt bill.
We'll have cans and draft available. A percentage of proceeds from all beer sales will go to benefit the Fulton Neighborhood Resource Center.
Itinerant bluesy folk singer-songwriter Philip Gibbs, a native of Austin, TX, has played more than 2500 shows in 35 states over the past 20 years. After spending five years on the road in the early 2010s, Gibbs spent a year and a half holed up in the High Rockies, experimenting and performing with a mountain music string band called Silver City. The thaw of 2016 saw a move to Richmond, VA and a weekly residency at Bisou Bistro in historic Harpers Ferry, WV, traveling back and forth through the ghost lands of the Civil War. Greatly influenced by Woody Guthrie, Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan, Gibbs writes and sings from the heart, "turning simple working-class love anthems into potent, soulful jewels."
